Q. How do I buy a digitally edited photograph? (Photo Restoration,
photo enhancement)
A. Just send an original photograph, negative or slide via email or post,
provide your email and home address and state clearly what you are
requesting, plus the service required e.g. restoration, enhancement etc.
along with the price level you think it falls into. If there is a discrepancy I
will email you. Once it is ready you will receive a proof copy by email and
when you are completely satisfied with the proof, please send payment.
Once payment is received you will be sent a 6x4" (20x15cm) print for free
by second class post. Remember enlargements can be purchased and other
postage is charged.
Q. How do I make a payment?
A. If you are purchasing goods, please make payment via the website. If you
are purchasing digital edited photographs I can send you a Paypal payment
request where you can pay by card (you do not need to be a paypal
member to pay this way), your card details are not seen by me.
Alternatively you can send a cheque or postal order and once payment is
received or cleared your photo will be sent.
Q. How do I buy DVD copies of my VHS home movies?
A. Simply send you VHS tapes along with payment to the address below. Once
copied your VHS and DVD will be sent to you. There is a small postage cost
for this service
Q. I only have a printed photograph and no scanner, can I still use
the service?
A. Yes, please send your original by post along with your instructions. Please
provide email address, telephone number and home address for return.

Q.Can I pay by cheque or postal order?

Q. Can you only work with prints?
A. No, I can work with negatives and slides as well and offer a scanning
service that puts these onto a DVD or CD for you. Costs around 50p per
slide with no editing. Editing costs in addition are charged at the normal
rate.
Q. Do you sell photo gifts?
A. Yes, I can do personalised keyrings, fridge magnets, t-shirts, letter openers,
book marks etc. Please contact me with any requests. Alternatively there are
a number of highly recommended sites on my website, just click on the
links and you will be taken directly to my affiliate websites.
Q. How do I send an image via email?
A. Log in to your email account as normal, type
dabphotography@yourphotorepairs.co.uk or click on the link. Use the attach
button, or paper-clip icon to add your photos then click send.
Q. Do you restore the original photo?
A. Photo restoration means creating a digital copy of the original, it is like
taking a negative into a shop and getting a new copy.
Q. Can you frame photos?
A. Yes, on request your photo can be framed and cost depends on the type of
frame you require.
Q. Do you sell your own photos?
A. Yes I do and they can be sent in most sizes. Please email for a catalogue
Q. How do I scan an image into my computer?
A. Please scan images at a minimum of 300 dpi, if the image is tiny, scan at
600 dpi, make sure that the scanning glass is free from dust and marks or
these will be on the photo sent which will add to the restoration costs.
Check your photo is free from surface dust and hair for the same reason. If
you cannot get a decent scan, send the image by post as it will cost less in
the long run. If you have large numbers of images to be edited it may be
easier to send a CD, DVD or memory stick. |
